How We Hire

The following is a detailed outline of the hiring process that candidates can expect:

The Recruitment Process at Modern

Please take time to review the job requirements very carefully and begin pulling required documentation together so that you have it in one location (resume, dates of employment, licensure, certifications, forms(s), etc.) It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure they provide all documentation.

Applications are reviewed after the job closes and eligibility is determined during the official review (deeming) process. Usually, candidates who have not received a phone call for an interview will receive an email thanking them for their continued interest in our company. You can anticipate hearing from our company within 4 – 6 weeks from the time the position closes.

We do not accept unsolicited resumes.

1. Application Submission

Interested candidates submit their applications through the company’ website, job boards, or other designated platforms.

2. Resume Review

The H.R. team reviews submitted resumes to ensure candidates meet the basic qualifications for the position.

3. Initial Screening

Selected candidates may be invited to complete an initial phone or video interview to discuss their background, skills, and interest in the position.

4. Assessment

Depending on the role, candidates might be required to complete skills assessments, personality tests, or other evaluations.

5. First Interview

Shortlisted candidates participate in a more in-depth interview, with H.R. and the hiring manager, to discuss their qualifications and fit for the company culture.

Every applicant will be presented with identical questions and assigned points based on their responses. The committee will diligently record your answers to assess your qualifications and may refer to their notes. Please understand that this is not indicative of rudeness or disinterest; it’s an effort to accurately recall the details you provide. The goal is to ensure a comprehensive understanding of your expertise, skills, and aptitude in connection with the position you are seeking at Modern.

Anticipate responding to structured, predetermined inquiries. An oral interview generally spans from 30-90 minutes. Typically, interviews are conducted by panels, which involve multiple individuals in the roles of interviewers. Panel interviews are designed to guarantee an equitable and unbiased hiring procedure.

Please note: You will receive information about your job application status once all stages of the recruitment process have concluded. The recruitment process might encompass various steps (such as exams, interviews, computer exercises, and assessments) based on the hiring committee’s criteria, which could extend the timeline to several weeks for completion. Our team is dedicated to expediting the process and delivering an answer promptly, but we kindly request your patience. All communication will be conducted via email, so please ensure to regularly check your inbox.

6. Reference Checks

The company may contact the candidate’s provided references to gain insights into their work history and performance.

7. Second Interview

Some candidates proceed to a second round of interviews, which could involve meeting with different team members or managers.

8. Final interview

Certain positions may require a final interview with higher-level management or key decision makers.

9. Offer

If the company decides to extend an offer, candidates will be contacted to discuss offer details such as salary, benefits, and tentative start date.

10. Background Check & Drug Test

A background check and/or drug test may be conducted before the offer becomes official.
