Modern Electric Water Company’s Board of Directors and management team understands that it is more expensive these days to shop for food and household basics. These increasing costs along with higher winter heating bills can be especially hard on our senior customers who have limited income.
Keeping a pulse on our community and its needs, the Board of Directors recently passed a Senior Citizen Residential Rate. Beginning in December 2021, customers 65 years of age or older that live at their service address in Modern’s service territory may apply for this new reduced residential rate schedule.

Start the application process. Please be sure to submit the form and stop by Modern’s Drive-Thur Window at 904 North Pines Road to sign your application and show a government-issued photo identification document (ID) that includes your age.photo ID to complete the process.
